The tuning fork was invented in 1711 by John Shore, the renowned musician, instrument maker and trumpeter to the English Royal Court and favorite of George Frideric Handel. Before this innovation, musicians requiring a standard musical pitch had to rely on wooden pitch pipes, which were rather unreliable due to being greatly affected by changes in temperature and humidity.
In recent times, the tuning fork was adopted as an instrument being used in the application of sound and vibrational therapy. Despite this purpose of application being very different from its original invention, the tuning fork has not seen any significant innovation since its inception over 300 years ago.
The time has come for a revolution in tuning fork design which will enable sound therapy practitioners to more effectively apply these acoustic and vibrational effects to their clients.
Sacred Innovations is presently developing a number of revolutionary new tuning fork designs that will become available in coming months.
In addition to new tuning fork designs Sacred Innovations is also developing new technologies to aid in the manufacture and precision tuning of the forks. One example is the invention of “Hole Tuning” technology. See the Hole Tuning article for more details.
